A 19-year-old man, Muhammed Sarki Noma-Sambo, has been apprehended in Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State for allegedly having sex with a seven-year-old boy.

Speaking to Sunday Punch on Saturday at the state Criminal Investigation Intelligent Department, the suspect alleged that his victim had approached him two weeks ago at the popular Chingwe cow market in Lafia seeking accommodation.

Noma-Sambo said, “At about 2 am, I woke him up and told him, ‘I want to have sexual intercourse with you.’ The boy refused and I forcefully slept with him. Afterward, I gave him N500.”

The suspect said there were about 1,000 gay gangs in the state, adding that he had engaged in homosexual acts with about 15 children prior to his arrest.

Noma-Sambo claimed that his friends introduced him to homosexuality.

The Police Public Relation Officer, Idirisu Kennedy, told Punch correspondent that as soon as the command completed its investigation, the suspect would be prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others.
