Police arrested the man in Mexico City last Friday after he was caught hiding a pistol inside a sandwich.(Wapbaze_Copyright)

Cops made the shocking discovery after they became suspicious of the nervous man while he stood in front of a metal detector at a bus station in the Gustavo A. Madero neighborhood.(Wapbaze_Copyright)

'This person was trying to pass with a weapon and useful bullets hidden inside a roll and wrapped in aluminum foil, with which he was trying to circumvent the detection arches,' the police said.(Wapbaze_Copyright)

The individual, whose name was not made public by the Mexico City police, had his belongings checked.(Wapbaze_Copyright)

The cops discovered the gun stuffed in between the breads that were covered by an aluminum foil wrap.(Wapbaze_Copyright)

The police also confiscated several bullets that were also hidden in the sandwich.(Wapbaze_Copyright)

It is unknown if the suspect was planning to rob one of the public transportation buses that were scheduled to depart from the hub.
