O2 UK Lands The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 In September

O2 has just confirmed that starting next month it will be offering its customers the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8. That means the mid-ranger will create it for a market release only in the last month of the promised Q3.

O2 are still hesitant to reveal details about the pricing of the handset but we doubt it will be terribly expensive. After all, if the company offers the XPERIA X10 for free on a 45 GBP/month contract, the XPERIA X8 will probably cost pennies even on the cheapest tariffs.

Let us remind you what the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X8 is all about in case you have forgotten. The handset features a 3" HVideo Graphics Array (VGA) (320 x 480) screen, a 600Mega Hertz (MHz) Central Processing Units (CPU) and runs Android 1.6 (though Éclair update is coming before the discontinue of the year). The smartphone also comes with a 3.2MP snapper and remarkable all round connectivity (quad-band GSM/EDGE, 3G with HSPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS).
