A while ago we spotted a bunch of quite fascinating Dell smartphones, which to this day haven't been announced officially. But don't worry the project isn't abandoned and the company is working hard on getting them on the market. The proof comes today in the form of live photos and a short demo video of the first of those devices, Dell Thunder.

The company's upcoming flagship, the Android-powered Dell Thunder, is expected to start shipping in the last quarter of 2010 (by the way an LTE-capable version of the device should show up as well) and while its exact launch date and price are still a mystery, most of its spces aren't.

Dell Thunder caught in the wild

The Thunder prototype on the images above (as well as on the video below) runs a non-customized version of Android 2.1 but sooner or later the Dell Stage UI should acquire on board.

The smartphone will pack a 4.1" AMOrganic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) touchclassy screen of WVideo Graphics Array (VGA) resolution and there will be an 8MP autofocus snapper capable of shooting 720p HD videos backstage.

On top of that there will be a user-replaceable 1400mAh battery. Check out this video to see the Thunder in action.
