Information about an upcoming Nokia WP smartphone for AT&T just leaked. Code-named Nokia Champagne, the yet unannounced smartphone is assumed to run Windows Phone Tango - the revision of the Microsoft platform that should play nice will lower-discontinue hardware and allow recent classy screen resolutions among other things.

The screenshot that you see on the left mentions the AT&T Nokia Champagne, which runs version 7.10.8711 of Windows Phone. And according to the i’mWP7 app screenshot you see pictured correct below it - that's a Tango release.

Some rumors recommdiscontinue that the AT&T-bound Nokia Champagne is nothing, but the LTE-enabled version of the Lumia 800 that we first heard of this morning. However, the Lumia 800 is by no means a mid-range device and we can't see how adding an LTE radio will create it one.

Still, it's fine to know that the Nokia WP-running devices are already in testing, so they shouldn't be too far away from market availability. They will miss on the holiday shopping action, though, so Nokia better create sure that it gives the users something extra to create up for the delay.

We'll certainly be on the lookout for more information about this one, so stay tuned.
