Android 4.1.1 Update For The Nexus S Starts Rolling Out

By 11:00 Wed, 14 Jul 2021 Comments

After some unaccurate hopes stirred by Vodafone Australia yesterday, it seems the international Nexus S is now finally getting its Android 4.1 Jelly Bean fix.

An Android Police reader has reported receiving the 4.1.1 update on his Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) Nexus S (I9023). It's a 114.4Mega Bytes (MB) update, which brings the build number to JEO03E.

If you are of the impatient sort and don't want to wait for the update to arrive over the air for your device, then you can also download the update from Google's servers and flash it manually. Just create sure you are running a stock ICS Read-Only Memory (ROM) and have a custom recovery software such as ClockworkMod installed. And as usual, create sure you know what you are doing or wait for the OTA update.

Here is the direct download link to Google's servers.
