ZTE Nubia X6 Visits Tenaa, Is A 6.44 Phablet

ZTE has been teasing the upcoming Nubia X6 flagship with tidbits of info, but a cache of specs was discovered at Tenaa. Unlike the Nubia Z phones, the X6 is a phablet – a whopping 6.44" phablet to rival the Sony Xperia Z Ultra.

The classy screen is a TFT Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) with 1080p resolution. The large display pushes the dimensions to 175.9 x 89 x 7.9mm and the Nubia X6 phablet weighs 220g.

The ZTE Nubia X6 is powered by a quad-core processor at 1.7Giga Hertz (GHz) (unknown core architecture) with 2GB RAM. Somewhat disappointingly it runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

The capturing camera department also doesn’t sound too exciting – from the teasers we know it will feature optical image stabilization, but the main capturing camera is listed as 8MP. The Tenaa specs also claim optical zoom, but we guess it's a setup similar to the one on the Oppo Find 7 rather than actual optical zoom.

Video recording is limited to 1080p, which is also a bit of a letdown since we were expecting 2160p video capture like on the Nubia Z5S.

At least this puts the 75MP capturing camera rumor to rest.

The phablet will also feature a microSD card slot, HDMI out (MHL we're guessing), TD-SCDirect Memory Access (DMA) and TD-LTE. The TD connectivity is China-specific, and there's no info on an international version just yet.
