Samsung's Upcoming Galaxy E5 And E7 Have Full Specs Leaked

Aside from the recently unveiled A series, Samsung is working on another recent line of devices - this will be the Galaxy E series. Two handsets in it have been leaking a lot lately, namely the SM-E500 (Galaxy E5) and SM-E700 (Galaxy E7).

We've already seen some specs for both of them, but today a rumor comes and gives us the full list. According to this report, the Galaxy E7 will come with a 5.5-inch 720p Super AMOrganic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) touchscreen, a 13 MegaPixel (MP) rear camera, a 5 MegaPixel (MP) front snapper, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of built-in storage, and a 2,950 mAh battery.

It will be powered by a elegant Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC coming with a 1.2 Giga Hertz (GHz) quad-core CPU. Its dimensions will be 151 x 77 x 7.2 mm, and it will run Android 5.0 Lollipop from day one.

The Galaxy E5 should acquire a 5-inch 720p Super AMOrganic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) display, an 8 MegaPixel (MP) camera, a 5 MegaPixel (MP) front-facing camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a 2,300 mAh battery. It too will be powered by the same Snapdragon 410 chipset as its bigger sibling, though it's going to be even thinner, at 6.9mm, and will weigh 140g. Like the E7, the Galaxy E5 will also run Android 5.0 Lollipop.

That Android version being preinstalled on these devices probably means they won't be in stores for at least another few weeks, since Samsung hasn't even updated its flagships to Lollipop yet (except the Galaxy S5 in some markets).

Both the E5 and the E7 will reportedly feature non-removable batteries, though it's unclear whether that means they'll have metal bodies like the members of the A series. Yet if the E line does acquire metal designs too, then it's really unclear what the differentiating factor between these and the Galaxy A handsets will be, since their hardware specs are pretty similar already.
