While it's waiting around for regulatory approval for its £12.5 billion acquisition of EE, BT has decided to swiftly re-enter the mobile market in the UK with a few SIM-only 4G LTE plans.

The telecoms giant is, for now, offering these as an MVNO which uses EE's network. Obviously though, the options should multiply when BT becomes the owner of EE in the coming months.

BT isn't giving you 'free' phones at this point in time, opting to release only three 'bring your own phone' SIM-only deals. If you have BT Broadband, these start at £5 per month. The cheapest plan gives you 200 minutes, unlimited texts, and 500Mega Bytes (MB) of data.

Next up there's a £12 option with 500 minutes, unlimited texts, and 2GB of data. The most expensive variant costs £20 per month and offers unlimited minutes and texts along with a whopping 20GB of data.

All plans are 4G-enabled, and all require you to sign a one-year contract. They all give you access to BT's Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) hotspots too. The aforementioned prices are only valid if you have BT Broadband, otherwise you need to pay £5 per month more for each one.
