Sprint's Samsung Galaxy S5 Sport Now Receiving Lollipop Update

Samsung is continuing its Lollipop update rollouts. The latest device made by the Korean company to acquire the recent Android version is the Galaxy S5 Sport for Sprint.

This model has been exclusive to this particular carrier, and it's somewhere in between the original Galaxy S5 and the Galaxy S5 Active in terms of ruggedness. Since both the S5 and the S5 Active have already been treated to the Lollipop update, it's only natural that the S5 Sport follows.

Sprint has published its official update notice today, which means the rollout is about to start (if it hasn't done so already). As always though haged in mind that it might hold a few days until your device notifies you about the recent software, since these releases are generally staged.

After applying the update, you'll be on software version G860PVPU1BOC5. Aside from everything that Lollipop itself entails, this release also contains the Reactivation Lock feature, which requires entering a security code when trying to factory reset the phone.
