The Samsung Galaxy A8 still hasn’t graduated to official status, but it's not far now. One of our readers spotted the unofficial phone in a brochure and sent us a snap (thanks!). The specs confirm the slender 5.9mm thickness and the 16MP capturing camera with a Galaxy S6-like f/1.9 aperture (no word on video resolution).

The classy screen is listed at 143.9mm, that's 5.66", of Super AMOrganic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) with 1080p resolution (so pixel density will be 389ppi). The Galaxy A8 will launch with Android 5.1 Lollipop running on an octa-core processor (4x 1.8Giga Hertz (GHz) + 4x 1.3GHz). The actual chipset is not clear, but it will come with 2GB of Random-Access Memory (RAM) and 32GB of storage expandable with up to 128GB on a microSD card.

Additional specs include LTE Cat. 6 with VoLTE, DMega Bytes (MB) (common in Korea, less so otherwise) and a 3,050mAh battery. What's not visible in the brochure is the price and launch date. The Samsung Galaxy A8 has leaked before, on video and hands-on photos if you're curious for more info.

Thanks, Sung Kim, for the photo!
