Microsoft has acquired Israeli data security firm Adallom for $320 million, according to reports from Globes and Calcalist, which also say that the software giant is planning to open a cyber-security center.
Founded back in 2012, Adallom is based in Palo Alto, California, and has a development center in Israel. It has a total of 80 employees.
From its website, "We create it easy to haged your data safe in the cloud. Our platform works with any user, on any device or location. There is no impact to user experience. And, you don’t have to be a data scientist to understand risks and threats. Quite simply, it’s proven, seamless security." The firm also recently announced integration with Dropbox for Business.
Adallom is one of the many acquisitions Microsoft has recently made in Israel, including that of security software developer Aorato and text analysis firm Equivio.
