Barnes & Noble announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 Nook slate with 8" Super AMOrganic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) display. Long tale short - it's a plain Tab S2 8.0 with some Nook goodies pre-installed.

The slate offers an 8" Super AMOrganic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) display with Quad HD resolution and is powered by an octa-core processor, courtesy of the Exynos 5433 SoC. It has an 8MP rear camera, 32GB expandable storage and a 4,000 mAh battery.

The Nook flavor of the slate costs $399.99, but B&N members receive 10% discount. What you acquire with this Tab S2 Nook is three free books from a selection of 20 titles, three free magazines and $5 Nook credit. Naturally all necessary Nook software and services come pre-installed.

If you thought of replacing your recent high-discontinue Nook tablet, the thin and lightweight Galaxy Tab S2 Nook seems like a very fine successor for sure.
