The recent Apple TV isn't shipping to customers till late October, but YouTuber Andru Edwards was able to acquire his hands on one for a quick unboxing.

The box doesn't contain anything we don't already know. There is the recent Apple TV with the Siri Remote. The remote, as you may know, will have Siri only in select countries, and in other countries the Apple TV will instead ship with a standard Apple TV Remote, which is otherwise identical to the Siri Remote except instead of Siri you only acquire standard search functionality.

Other than that there is a power cable, Lightning to Universal Serial Bus (USB) cable to charge the remote, and documentation.

The recent Apple TV still has roughly the same dimensions as the previous one except for the increased height. It also has a recent Universal Serial Bus (USB) Type-C connector on the back for servicing although Apple does not provide a cable. The HDMI has been updated to 1.4 standard to support 1080p60 video along with 7.1 channel surround sound. The Ethernet, however, is still 10/100BASE-T, so no gigabit support.

The recent Apple TV is priced at $149 for the 32GB and $199 for the 64GB.
