A recent Meizu phone has received radio certification in China. The device's listing reveals that it carries a model number of M681Q, and offers support for Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) / TD-SCDirect Memory Access (DMA) / WCDirect Memory Access (DMA) / CDMA2000 / TD-LTE / FDD-LTE networks. Reports say that the handset is the Meizu MX6.

The MX6 has been the subject of very few rumors so far. From what all has been rumored until now, it is powered by a MediaTek Helio X20 SoC with 10-core Central Processing Units (CPU) and Mali-T880 MP4 GPU, and sports a FHD display. It has 3GB of Random-Access Memory (RAM) and 32GB of internal memory.

Packing in a large 4,000mAh battery and featuring a 21MP/8MP capturing camera combo, the MX5 successor is assumed to be running Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Previous reports have tipped an April launch for the device.
