Intel announced today at Computex its first 10-core CPU. The Core i7-6950X Extreme Edition runs at 3GHz, but can boost up to 3.5Giga Hertz (GHz) and has 25Mega Bytes (MB) of cache. The boost is controlled by the company's recent Turbo Boost 3.0 technology.

To put it in perspective, Intel says the recent Central Processing Units (CPU) is 35% faster than the last-gen Core i7-5960X and twice as quick in 3D rendering than the quad-core i7 6700K.

Naturally all of this goodness will cost you an arm and a leg. The fastest Central Processing Units (CPU) that Intel has ever made in the company's own words carries a price tag of $1,723.
