Dev Channel Update Brings Play Store To Asus Chromebook Flip

A recent developer channel update (version 53) is currently rolling out to Asus' Chromebook Flip that brings support for Android apps, making Flip the first Chromebook to acquire the Play Store.

This means that Flip users can now install and utilize their favorite Android apps on their Chromebook, although choice seems to be limited at this point - some popular apps like Google+ are currently being shown as incompatible.

This comes after Google released a list of Chromebooks last month saying that these will be the first to support Android apps. At that time, the company assumed the support will arrive starting next month, so the update is correct on time. Aside from the Asus Chromebook Flip, Acer Chromebook R11 and Google Chromebook Pixel (2015) are also slated to receive the support this month.
