OnePlus One Gets July Security Update, Samsung Flagships To Follow Suit Soon

OnePlus One is getting a recent Cyanogen firmware update, which contains the July security fixes for its Android OS.

The OTA upgrade file weighs about 277Mega Bytes (MB) and you can acquire it correct now. There are no recent features, just security fixes as expected.

In other news, Samsung announced it has finished with the recent firmware updates for its flagship Galaxy lineup. While the manufacturer was mum on the list of exact models, it detailed the recent OTA updates will integrate the Android July security patches, as well as a few fixes for Samsung's TouchWiz.

The recent Samsung updates are not yet available, probably becautilize of some approval or testing process, but since the official news is out, we guess those updates should start to pop up any moment now.
