LG GS500 Cookie Plus Puts 3G On The Table, GS290 Is To Follow

LG announced another member of their Cookie touchclassy screen handset family. The entry-level LG Cookie Plus is a slightly pimped up version of the original KP500 Cookie. Including 3G with HSDPA and a better UI it will give users another option when looking for a touchclassy screen phone on the cheap.

According to LG, one of the coolest recent features of the GS500 Cookie Plus is the Cartoon-like UI. Sounds familiar? Yeah, that's becautilize the Cartoon UI is one of the most promoted features of the Samsung Corby too. And by the way, the icons also see suspiciously familiar to what Samsung offered. Hoping that noone notices, are we?

But don't worry if the Cookie Plus with its HSDPA doesn't seem too much of an upgrade to you. LG plans to offer a full batch of recent Cookie handsets in 2010 so we are looking at a first of many here. Their press release mentions another mysterious Cookie, called LG GS290. It should be available in the UK in mid-March, but details will follow later.

Getting back to the "star" - the LG Cookie Plus is definitely set on a mission to conquer the world and will roll out globally to 45 countries beginning with France and Italy in early March. Pricing is yet unknown though.
